Kidneys are one of the most vital organs of the human body and without it our body cannot function. Not only is kidney responsible for the excretion of toxins and waste materials from our body but, it is also essential for the production of red blood cells and the maintenance of our blood pressure. Therefore, the health of our kidneys is very important and we need to know about the symptoms and warnings that point towards the failure of our kidneys.

The most common symptom is a sudden change in the volume of urine. If you feel the urge to urinate more than two or three times at night then you should consult a doctor immediately and get your kidneys checked because it maybe because of acute kidney injury. The excessive foaminess of urine over a long period of time is the next symptom and it is mostly as a result of the leakage of proteins in your urine because of some kind of damage to the kidney. Persistent hiccups, fatigue, shortness of breath, nausea and body itching are some other symptoms of kidney disorders

The next few symptoms are more noticeable and relate to the passage of blood in urine. This condition is termed as Haematuria and can be because of various reasons like polycystic kidney disease, kidney stones or renal cancer. Body swelling is another symptom that can indicate kidney disorder and persistent pain in the loins also warrants for immediate checkup of the kidneys by a medical practitioner.
